Install Apps on Azure VM

There are two ways to install apps in the Azure VM: manual installation and using the Tethys App Store.

• Install Apps Manually
  • 1. Login as Tethys User
  • 2. Activate the Tethys Conda Environment
  • 3. Change into the Apps Directory
  • 4. Download App Source Code
  • 5. Install App
  • 6. Collect Static Files and Workspaces
  • 7. Restart the Tethys Service
  • 8. Configure App Settings
  • 9. Initialize Persistent Stores

• Install Tethys App Store
  • 1. Login as Tethys User
  • 2. Activate the Tethys Conda Environment
  • 3. Change into the Tethys Home Directory
  • 4. Install Tethys App Store
  • 5. Collect Static Files and Workspaces
  • 6. Restart the Tethys Service
  • 7. Enable WebSocket Support
  • 8. Restart the NGINX Service
  • 9. Add Password to Root User
  • 10. Login to Tethys Portal with a Portal Admin Account
  • 11. Navigate to Tethys App Store Settings
  • 12. Set sudo_server_pass Setting
  • 13. Install Apps
